Ms. Manju Gaur Sports Scholarship Scheme
- Objective: The Gaurs International School (GIS) has been contributing to the needs of deserving students through various programmes and initiatives. With the Ms. Manju Gaur Sports Scholarship Scheme, GIS aims to provide foundational support to young sportspersons and recognize their achievements at the national and international levels. Along with the financial support, the scholarship will also focus on encouraging the budding talents by proper mentorship as and when required.
- Scholarship Benefits: Scholarship holder will get 25% waiver in composite/Tuition fee.
- Scholarship Process:
Step 1: Application - Submit the Application Form.
Step 1A: Documentation - With the Application Form submitthe following requisite documents.
- Upload academic records of the last 2 years
- Previous sports achievements
- Birth Certificate (mandatory)
- Self-Declaration Form for bonafide certificate
Step 2: Notification - Successful applicants will be notified via email within 10 working days.

- Applicant must be an Indian Citizen.
- Applicant must have a good academic performance for last two consecutive years.
- Applicant must haveparticipated in a recognized Sports Federation/Academy tournament.
- Applicant will have to pass a skills/scholarship test and Interview.
- Applicant must have played last years, i.e. represented their state OR played at the national levelOR
- Applicant should be a member of winner and runners-up teams or first/second or third position holder in individual events at the National level OR
- Applicant must have represented or is a winner of sub-junior/ junior/ senior National championships/ games for the last academic years OR
- Applicant must have certificate from bonafide association/federation or CBSE National or SGFI or Khelo India Youth Games at National Level competitions.
Ms. Manju Gaur Sports Scholarship Scheme
Terms and Conditions:
1. VALIDITY & TERMINATION TERMS:
(i) The scholarship is a 1+1 year scholarship for a 02 year period. The scholarship will be initially awarded for a period of one academic year and subsequently renewed for another academic year subject to an annual review to demonstrate candidate’s achievement and progression within his specialist sports area and academics.
(ii) The Scholarship is as stated and is non-exchangeable. It cannot be substituted and is non-transferable.
(iii) The scholarship is specifically for students studying at Gaurs International School, Greater Noida West campus and cannot be converted to cash or transferred to any other school.
(iv)This Scholarship is based on a student's previous year’s academic performance along with the student's highest sports achievements.
(v) In case any wrong information is provided, scholarship will be considered null and void. The scholarship amount, if has been credited will have to be refunded back to the school. The school has the right to terminate the scholarship without notice.
(vi)The scholarship may be withdrawn at any time if, in the opinion of the school, the scholarship holder's progress or behaviour is deemed unsatisfactory. The scholarship will be monitored and the applicant will be required to maintain good conduct.
(vii) The Scholarship Sum for the applicable session in an academic year will cease to be payable and the Scholarship will be withdrawn, in case the scholarship recipient does not complete the session and/or deregisters and leaves the School during the middle of the term for whatsoever reason/reasons.
(viii) Achievements related documents are mandatory. In addition, a self-declaration/affidavit (through parents) is required from the applicant to ensure that submitted documents are true and correct.
(ix) This Scholarship is only applicable on Composite/Tuition fee.
2. Scholarship Terms
(i) During any academic year, if the student is already a recipient of any scholarship/ benefit, then the student shall not be deemed eligible for new scholarship or fee related benefits announced for that particular academic year. In short a student cannot apply for new scholarship or added fee related benefits during the present academic year in case he/ she has already received a scholarship for that academic year. At any given time, a student can avail only one fee related benefit, either subsidy or scholarship.
(ii) The parent of a successful applicant is required to execute an acceptance of the scholarship within 7 working days from the date of notification of scholarship results.
(iii) All successful applicants (new Admissions) are required to register within two weeks & join the school within 90 days of offering a scholarship.
(iv)Students who have availed the scholarship are required to complete the full session.
(v) The scholarship amount for each grade is fixed for the period of two academic years.
(vi) Students who avail the Scholarships are required to pay their term fees in full as per school terms. The Scholarship Sum for each applicable academic term will be disbursed at the end of that term in the bank account registered with the school of the Parent/Guardian.
(vii) Scholarship Sum refers to the entire amount disbursed by the School under the said Scholarship.
3. BRAND PARTICIPATION
(i) Scholarship recipients are required to take on the role of student ambassadors or any other similar role representing GIS to give publicity talks and testimonials as and when called upon to do so.
(ii) Scholars will be required to take part in community involvement programmes or projects deemed appropriate and/or directed by the school.
4. RIGHTS
(i) Scholarship Committee’s decision will be final for allocation of scholarships.
(ii) No legal action can be taken in disputes in which claims are raised against school as to annulment and revision.
(iii) Scholarship Committee reserves the right to change the Terms and Conditions at any time and the latest version can be found on the school’s websites.
(iv)Scholarship Committee reserves the right to modify, cancel, terminate or suspend the scholarship programme in whole or in part, at its sole discretion, if it believes the scholarship programme is not capable of being conducted as specified within these Terms and Conditions.
(v) Scholarship Committee’s failure to enforce any provision of these Terms and Conditions in a given instance shall not constitute the waiver of such provision and can be formulated/amended at any stage.
(vi)Scholarship Committee may, at its sole discretion, add further stages to the selection process for the Scholarship programme as it deems reasonably necessary in order to resolve any problems arising as a result of such actions.
(vii) By signing the acceptance form for the scholarship, you explicitly and amicably agree to these terms and conditions.
