Our National Heroes

A National Hero is someone who is celebrated for his achievements or for his contribution to the nation. They are the heroes who rose up from amongst us, to fight for us, to die for us.

A captivating school assembly was held on Wednesday, 2 August 2023 on the topic “ Our National Heroes” by the students of class V A. The assembly started by invoking the blessings of the Almighty.

A morning prayer was initiated by the school choir followed by a positive “Thought of the Day”. News from around the world added to our global awareness. The assembly aimed at recalling the unbroken spirits and determination of some of the greatest leaders, who led our nation to independence. The main objective of the assembly was to ignite an admiration amongst our little ones for those supreme souls.

The pageant of students dressed as leaders such as Mahatma Gandhi, Jawaharlal Nehru, Bal Gangadhar Tilak, Rani of Jhansi, Subhas Chandra Bose, Bhagat Singh, came up to the stage one by one and introduced their characters. The introduction was then followed by an action song on a patriotic theme “Bharat Humko Jaan Se Pyaara Hai”.

Finally, the assembly concluded with the entire school singing together the National Song.The assembly was a visual and more engaging means to educate the children about our freedom fighters. It also taught them that freedom for a country is priceless and needs to be valued and preserved.
