Lights, Camera, Education : A fusion of creativity and contemporary learning !

Our Grade 8 Gaurians recently immersed themselves in the fascinating world of filmmaking at an enlightening workshop. Guided by our School Director , Ms. Manju Gaur Mam's foresight and under the astute leadership of Ms. Vandana Seth, our students embarked on a transformative journey to harness essential 21st-century skills.

The Cineaste-International Film Festival at Delhi Metropolitan Education, GGSIPU provided the perfect stage for this educational odyssey, with luminaries Mr. Vishal Sahai and Mr. Madhav Sharma, Festival Associate and Additional Directors, lighting the way. From mastering various shots to wielding light as a creative tool, our budding filmmakers not only gained technical prowess but also explored the foundational stages of production.

The significance of such workshops for students is immeasurable. Beyond the technicalities of filmmaking, they cultivate crucial 21st-century skills – collaboration, communication, critical thinking, and creativity. Students, guided by Ms. Smriti Singhal, the Wellness Educator, and Mr. Vijay Prakash Sharma, the Music Instructor at GISSV, learned to express themselves visually, enhancing storytelling abilities and fostering resilience and problem-solving skills.

In an era dominated by digital literacy, filmmaking workshops offer a dynamic platform for students to understand and engage with modern teaching methodologies.
