It is with great joy and excitement that GIS Yamuna City hosted 'Anveshana’ its
annual Science, Art and Heritage Exhibition cum Kids Festival to mark the
celebration of Children’s Day. The event aimed to make the students understand
the essence of Exploration and Innovation- the two forces that are the engines that
power discovery, creativity, and progress. These twin forces that have shaped
humanity's past, present, and will undoubtedly shape its future. It also aimed to
provide students a platform for fun, creativity and learning beyond the classroom.
Eminent Educationists from the field of Science, Research, Technology and
Business Administration graced the occasion with their August presence. Chief
guest Dr Rekha Puria, HOD School of Biotechnology, Gautam Budh University,
Guest of Honour Mr Dheeraj Sharma, Director Sharda Skills, Sharda University, Dr
Vikrant Nain, Associate Professor, School of Biotechnology (GBU), School Director

tech based experiential learning solutions providers for educational institutions were
some of the esteemed guests who made the occasion so memorable with their
proud presence at the inaugural function of this event.
School Principal Mrs Mala Pathak welcomed the guests and extended her heartfelt
congratulations to all the participants of this exhibition. The vibrant cultural program
set the tone for the event where our students showcased their dance and musical
performances.
The school ground was converted to a ‘Fun City’ with beautifully decorated
Exhibition pavilions, banners, posters, food stalls, games and rides reflecting the
spirit of the day.
Science exhibition pavilion had an array of impressive projects – from models that
explained the laws of Physics, Chemistry and Biology to creative inventions aimed
at solving real-world problems. Each of these exhibits represents the hard work,
dedication, and imagination of our students who had taken their classroom
learnings and applied them in innovative ways to create solutions and explore new
possibilities.
The next segment of our exhibition showcases Art in all its diverse forms. Whether
it was a painting, a sculpture, a photograph, or a digital creation, each piece of art
told a unique story.
Our heritage exhibition reflected the vibrant history and diverse traditions of two
prominent Indian states-Assam and Gujarat. Whether our students were sharing
traditional dances, songs, art & crafts, festivals, dresses or food items from these
states, they were helping to ensure that the voices of the past are never forgotten.
Air and Drone shows by experts from Aerobay left the attendees awe struck and
exuberant.

The month of December brings a lot of warmth, hope and glad tidings. To spread the message of love and good cheer, the Gaurs International School, Yamuna City celebrated a spectacular carnival on 24 December 2022 on the occasion of the world’s most loved and celebrated festival, Christmas. The programme began with the traditional custom of welcoming guests, and the welcome greetings were done in a peppy, sing-song manner. The nativity scene, which is synonymous with Christmas, was enacted through a skit wherein, a vibrant choir group sang a carol relating to the events of the birth of Christ. The students performed a variety of jingles in their bright and elaborate costumes, which were a delight to watch. The children sang melodiously, and it sounded as though angels had truly descended on earth. The respect for community helpers was showcased by the tiny tots in their specific attire.
The children danced to perfection, enthralling the audience with their rhythm and perfect coordination. The shimmering props enhanced the beauty of the children, and the grand entrance of the little Santa Claus, who moved to the beat of music, was witnessed.
Adding beauty to the event, the students were adorned with ‘The Star of the Month’ by the head of the school, Ms. Jyoti Mehra Kacker, a source of inspiration and motivation, for their remarkable performance in academics and their behaviour and support system as true Gaurians.
The programme concluded with the ‘Sunshine PTM’ on a superb and fabulous note. All in all ,it was a fascinating, incredible and awesome Christmas celebration.

Dussehra
Navratri is associated with the prominent battle that took place between Durga and demon the Mahishasura and thus celebrates the victory of good over evil. These nine days are solely dedicated to Durga and her Nine avatars – the Navadurga. Each day is associated with an incarnation of the goddess. This festival is held in honour of the divine feminine.
The celebration ends with the celebration of Lord Rama's victory over Ravana on Dussehra.
The fight to save Goddess Sita lasted for 10 days and on the tenth day of Ashwin month, Lord Ram managed to kill Ravana with the help of 'Divyastra' given by Goddess Durga. This festival is celebrated in different ways all over India. Here is a glimpse of the day well spent and well celebrated in Gaurs International School, GYC.
