SHAKTI: Celebrating Empowerment at Gaurs International School



 

Greater Noida West, May 20, 2025 — Gaurs International School proudly hosted the Annual Day
celebration of Beti Bachao Beti Padhao 7.0, aptly themed Shakti: Celebrating Empowerment, in a vibrant
and power-packed cultural showcase that reflected the strength, resilience, and spirit of womanhood.

The Chief Guest for the evening was Smt. Smriti Zubin Irani, former Union Minister for Women and Child
Development and Minister of Textiles. The program commenced with her formal welcome, followed by
the inauguration of an evocative Art Exhibition and the unveiling of a Women Empowerment
Sculpture—a tribute to the indomitable spirit of women.

The auditorium echoed with enthusiasm as guests moved in for the ceremonial lamp lighting, leading
into a heartfelt welcome address by Mrs. Rachna Babbar, Principal of the school.
In a truly spellbinding moment, our esteemed Director Ma’am, Mrs. Manju Gaur, graced the stage with
a breathtaking classical dance performance on the powerful composition “Aigiri Nandini.” Radiating
grace, strength, and devotion, her performance was a tribute to the divine feminine energy—Shakti.
Every movement echoed with purpose and precision, leaving the audience mesmerized and awestruck.
A soul-stirring classical dance performance by students set the tone for an inspiring evening, followed by
a short AV film capturing the mission and achievements of the BBBP initiative. An insightful address by
Mrs. Manju Gaur, Director, Gaurs Group of Schools, added further depth to the proceedings.

The dignitaries present included Shri B.L. Gaur, Founder of Gaursons India Pvt. Ltd.; Mr. Manoj Gaur,
CMD, Gaursons India Pvt. Ltd.; and Mrs. Manju Gaur, Director, Gaurs Group of Schools. Also in
attendance were Dr. Upasana Arora, Managing Director of Yashoda Super Specialty Hospitals; Dr. Rita
Kapur, Director, Gyanshree School; Ms. Shikha Singh, City Coordinator CBSE & Principal, Ram-Eesh
International School; Ms. Deepti Sharma, President, Sahodaya NCR (East) & Principal, Pragyan Public
School, Jewar; Mr. Harish Kumar Sharma, Director/Manager, Pragyan Public School; Ms. Meetu Puri,
President of the UP Chapter of COWE; and Ms. Poonam Gitamber Anand, COO, ATS Infrastructure.

The evening was graced by the extended Gaur family, whose presence added both warmth and
significance. This included Mr. Sarthak Gaur, Mr. Vishesh Gaur, Ms. Saara Gaur, and Ms. Riddhi Gaur,
along with close family friends and members of the Gaurs Group Head Office.

A highlight of the day was a theatrical presentation on the life and achievements of Smt. Smriti Zubin
Irani, followed by her powerful address that left the audience inspired. The event also featured a vibrant
western dance performance, heartfelt student and parent reflections, and a melodious choir.

In a special moment, the Gaurs Fit India Mission was unveiled by the Chief Guest, underlining the
school’s commitment to holistic development.

The evening concluded with an academic acknowledgement of the school’s achievers and a formal Vote
of Thanks delivered by the Headmistress, celebrating the collaboration and effort that made Shakti 7.0 a
grand success. The National Anthem brought the curtains down on an unforgettable celebration of strength and resilience.
